So this morning, I got to the radio station early, to get set up for my show JoeLive. The guest on the show just before my show was Julius LaRosa, a popular singer from the 1950's. My parents knew who he is.

He was a popular regular on the Arthur Godfrey show and was made famous for getting fired on the air from the Bandstand show by Arthur Godfrey. However, that firing cause Godfrey to lose his public appeal. Julius has had a long and successful career as singer and actor, in addition to contributing to charities like the Jerry Lewis Telethon and Muscular Dystrophy. However, I am sure (in my opinion) in hindsight, he may have done things differently back then, knowing what he knows today... Here is an interesting review of Julius' life and career.

It is interesting to read about these early pioneers of the Radio and TV industries. They were ahead of a huge trend...those that figured out how to capitalize on it "early on" became wealthy...not just rich...they made the kind of money that means their ancestors for many generations, will never want for anything.

Capping it off with getting VIP tickets to see Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes, and then meeting Johnny back stage after the show...having followed his career and enjoying his music since the mid 70's, the guy still rocks and puts on a tremendous show!

Liang Chow...what made that happen???

I just got back from Cape Cod, what a great place to unwind and unplug… the only thing I stayed connected to was the summer Olympics in Beijing.

During the Gold Medal Beam performance by Shawn Johnson, one of the back stories that impacted me was the story about Shawn Johnson’s coach Liang Chow.

Liang Chow grew up in Beijing. He was a member of the Chinese bronze medal-winning team at the 1989 World Championships. Chow's skill and talents made him well known and relatively wealthy in China. But two years later, the 23-year-old Chow accepted a scholarship to the University of Iowa, where he would study English and help coach the gymnastics teams.

Chow had dreams of opening a school to teach gymnastics skills to young children. His school ended up in West Des Moines, Iowa Just a few blocks away lived six-year-old Shawn Johnson. Shortly after he opened his business… Shawn Johnson enrolled in a class… with a goal to someday become an Olympian.

Chow’s having an underlying goal, to some day return to China as a successful American entrepreneur, saw the 2008 Olympics as his time to shine.

The reason this story is so powerful, both of these people, from two different parts of the world and in different stages in life…found each other to achieve their individual goals.

What makes this happen???… they both had very clear intentions, goals and aspiration… in alignment…and the universe brought them together to achieve them. How or why it happened, is a mystery…but the fact that it happened, is a result of the Universe putting them into position to get what they wanted and they allowed it to happen with dedication, hard work and a clear vision and expectation of what is to come.

We are all capable of bringing what we want into existence. By setting out intentions, having a clear idea of our desires and allowing them to come to us (even if we have to wait 10 years like Liang Chow)… the Universe will bring you whatever you want… !!!

Think about this…you are receiving these e-mails because you may have been looking for something…and you never acted on it… or you have no idea why you are getting this…maybe it’s the universe sending it to you, by design… don’t ignore your opportunity…now might be the time to act.

With the summer coming to an end, this industry is about to explode (as it does every year in the fall)… we have generate over $14,000,000 for our affiliates - that is bound to double over the next year. Extra income seekers are looking and you can be the benefactor of that flood of activity, make sure you take the action to make your dreams and goals come to you.

I gotta admit it... I am a late night Olympics junkie... I am totally amazed at that these kids are doing... Like everyone else on the planet... but here's the thing... I wasn't this way years ago... what changed... them or me...? (I think we know the answer to that).

When I was in my 20s, the Olympics was something to do while drinking beer with friends in a crowded bar (don't get me wrong, it still is that today) and I understand the attraction. In my 30s it was something you hoped to watch, but the little kids in your life would have a need and pull you away. Now in my 40s, along with those kids (who are now grown teenagers) we watch from the comfort of our home on the 73" high def TV, prone on a leather couch in my media room....So I guess that is one change... but the real change is more about understanding...

Having almost 5 decades of life experience, I now watch the Olympics with an understanding of what these "kids", these incredible athletes, have to do to get to where they are today.

Think about this... in a world of Ipods, video games, computers, school work, kid politics, MTV, my big fat sweet 16 party and the all the tabloid trash....these "kids" have the mental focus and strength to gather their clarity to compete on the world stage in front of 80 million people! Honestly, I don't know if I could do it... but then... maybe??? nah, no way!

My 19 year old daughter, while we were watching Nastia Liukin on the uneven bars, said, how can she remember all of those moves...and we discussed how they have been doing these routines every day, for years, 1000s of times...with one focus in mind...to be exactly where she is...the goal was set the day she was born (her father was a Russian gold medalist 20 years ago). We discussed and compared it to things my daughter knows and does well...and how she learned them step by step and from repetition... she is good at a lot of things... however, she is a world class text messenger...she won't win a gold metal or get nationally acclaimed, but she is fast... :)

The reason all of this is resonating with me, I guess it's because I have change. My view of what these kids can do astounds me on an inspirational level...not only because I am more in tune with what it takes to do it, but maybe I am more in tune with receiving it and what it means to the world. Seeing a 16 year old girl go into her zone and focus on her goal, and to come away with perfection...was inspiring...to this 48 year old couch and computer jockey... It made me realize (again) that we are all capable of some amazing things...if we have a huge goal, take it "step by step", do it over and over again and focus on it until with get it prefect...the idea that failure is not an option drives and Olympian and business person alike.

People love to argue, well it's their genetics (Micheal Phelps), their upbringing (Natia Liukin), their this or their that... I say...it's their mindset, which is something that each of us can totally control in our lives. They decided to achieve what they have, first in their mind...the rest was all part of the process, they decided to be the best... some might say...what about someone with no legs, they can't win a 100 meter sprint...but that isn't even true any longer...Someday, we will see a physically challenged person compete with naturally capable people in our lifetimes... what will you decide to overcome in your life???

Ask yourself this question... if you knew you could, what would you do? What great things would you set out to accomplish...what income level would you achieve, what impact would you have on mankind. Unfortunately, as adults, we allow the self limiting beliefs imposed on us in our youth sneak in a block us from what we want. Once we release them, anything we want can be achieved.

I guess in some respects the Olympic athlete has to be young, so their bodies can take the punching level of exercise to get into shape and their minds are full of confidence devoid of doubt. If only we, as adults, could get our minds back to that youthful place where anything is possible...because it is...go for your dream, don't be held back and allow what you want to fulfill your life.

American Gymnasts have the right attitude!!!

Last night the American Men's Gymnastics team said something that was really profound... Never Give Up!!!

After losing 2 of their star performers to injuries, and being forced to bring in alternates, they were not touted as a contender in Beijing... however with the leadership of a kid from Texas named Jonathan Horton, they committed to making sure the world knew what they were made of...and they did...

After 2 rotations (of the 6 events) they were leading the pack, including beating the highly favored Chinese Team. Jonathan Horton was quoted as saying... "I changed my focus from what I couldn't do to what I could do"...and his results dramatically changed...

Well, last night the Chinese did win the gold, and the American's won the bronze...but from the looks of the celebrations...you would have thought they won the gold... this unlikely team, with 2/3 of the final event staffed with replacement performers, did the seemingly impossible... medaled in 2008.

Why am I sharing this with you... because you may be interested in more information about how to generate an additional income or make some kind of a change in your life...but...for some reason you did not moved forward...maybe its money, or fear or lack of belief...whatever it is, I would encourage you to take the words of Men's American Gymnastics team and "Never Give Up"... never give up on your dream to have the income, lifestyle and financial freedom you desire...

Coffee An Donuts... a throw back to quality ...

Remember the old commercial, with the guy who had to get up early in the morning to make the donuts?... He was constantly saying..."gotta make the donuts"... he was an advertising icon. Fiction... I think not... he actually exists (and in real life, he looks a little like the actor)...but he doesn't work for the major chain that made the saying famous... he is a Greek immigrant, entrepreneur named George Vlandis, owner of Coffee An Donuts in Westport CT.

George, along with his wife, son Elias and daughter Stacey, own an operate Coffee An, a local donut shop in Westport Connecticut (USA). Coffee An has become a national and now international destination because of one thing... Donuts... arguably the best on the plant!

Coffee An Donuts are amazing, unlike any donut or muffin you would find anywhere (when you see my photo, you will see that I have enjoyed a few - too many :). They are large, moist and flavorful. The bakery case has about a dozen varieties, from plain to coconut cover twists, to my favorite... chocolate covered. If you are there, and they aren't busy (which is rare) ask Mike - one of the few non-family members who works the counter, remembers everyone's name, what they eat, knows what is happening in the world and always has a friendly smile - to make you my special donut, a glazed donut with hot chocolate covering - it is the most sinful pleasure one can enjoy.

When you arrive, don't expect to be "wowed" by a glitzy, modern atmosphere usually expected in an up scaled community like Westport, but expect to be touched by it's charm. The small store front, in a non descript strip mall, of 5 stores, has photos of George and his family meeting President Bill Clinton and Vice President Al Gore, in addition to senators, congressmen, celebrities and local officials. The counter has 12 stools, and the seating area has 6 small tables flanking the front door. Everyone converses, across the counts and at the tables...it's a very social and friendly atmosphere. It’s a meeting place for business meetings and mommies…both find the food great and the atmosphere comfortable.

The other wall has the menu, specials and a public bulletin board with business cards and flyers from local businesses who know that this is epicenter of all networking. If you want to know what is going on in town or in the news nationally, Coffee An has the 411.

A few years ago, we were renovating our home, and I started going to Coffee An, for both Breakfast and Lunch almost every day, being we had no kitchen for a while. I have become a "regular" there, meeting the other regulars and making friends with many of them. This is a place where construction workers and hedge fund managers all sit at the counter and chat on an equal level. There are families, who send in their Christmas cards, which get posted on the wall, along with the drawing on the back of the place mats, by children...crayons are provided in a Crayola can that must be 20 years old.

Every morning, except for 2 weeks in July, when George and family are on vacation (good for them, bad for every one else...), the family is up early to make sure the Donuts and muffins are fresh every day. Coffee An only serves Breakfast and Lunch, so you gotta get there by 3:00 pm, or you'll miss out. Whatever is left over at the end of each day, is donated to the local men's shelter... my opinion, I think they make sure there is always something left over every day!

On a weekend morning, the line is out the door until 11:00 am, with people lining up to bring back the sinful delights to their family and friends. We have friends who come in from out of town, who are just as excited to have Coffee An donuts, as they are to visit us...but then, maybe the donuts are why they visit....? Anyone who has ever been to Westport in the last 20 years; knows about the little donut shop called Coffee An.

So, when you are on the east coast, in New York City or Boston, and you want to say you've had the best donuts on the planet... it's worth the journey to Westport, CT to visit this little Donut Shop at 343 Main St. Let them know you heard about it online...and that you are visiting from someplace distant, George and his family will be made to feel right at home...

Is Integrity Lost??? by Joe Grushkin

What happened to integrity? It seems to have gone the way of the buggy whip. Today so many people think they are going to get “ripped off” “scammed” or “taken” when ever they are looking at online businesses or opportunities. There is a perception that no one has integrity any more. Well, that just isn’t the case.

I have learned over time… It is the thief, who thinks everyone steals, and the liar, who thinks everyone lies…with the converse also being true.

Today on the internet, sure there are scams out there and yes, people lose money sometimes…but not everything on the internet is a scam. It would be like saying that every offering on eBay is “too good to be true” or every commercial offering on TV is unrealistic.

Trust and integrity is something that you need to earn, by giving it first… If you don’t want to be scammed, don’t scam anyone and don’t think you are getting scammed…it is a known fact that you get what you think about the most! Unless it’s a Nigerian bank official offering you $100,000,000 if you send him $3000…which doesn’t make any sense what-so-ever… If you see a business that does make sense to you…go for it and make it work.

The challenge is that when people see offerings on the internet, they expect them to just deposit mountains of money into their bank account…and when they don’t (in the first week)… it MUST BE A SCAM… Anyone in their right mind knows that all legitimate businesses take work. If you think you can engage in an internet business and not work at it and still make money…well then, you are scamming yourself.

This is where personal integrity comes in. If you want to find a business, brick and mortar or online, you need to have the integrity to follow your desire.

As an internet entrepreneur, I take what I do seriously. Just like a Doctor or a Lawyer, what I do, I do with integrity and professionalism. So many times, people think that internet marketers are scam-artists; looking for the next quick sale from some unknowing ‘dup’…when in fact the people I associate with have the highest level of integrity, honor and caring for the people and their results…more so than in most industries.

It may have been J.D. Rockefeller that once say, “Never trust a man in business, that does not benefit from your success”. Nothing describes the network marketing and direct sales industries better…people benefiting for other peoples “successes”.

In most “off line” businesses, people are “pitted” against each other…and told to compete for the prize… I recently saw a TV show where a couple got engaged on the way to work, they ran into the boss as they got to work who told them that they were in competition for the promotion. The woman ended up “winning” and the man broke off the engagement…all within one week… sure it was TV, but I am sure it happens in real life too. Two perfectly happy people were torn apart by corporate competition and a distorted view of what is right and wrong. In the online world, more and more, people are offering insights, ideas and programs to assist others in building their business. Sure sometimes they want to get paid for it…no problem, they should, while others give freely of their time.

In some businesses, there is a community developed where leaders assent to a place where they share their ideas and programs with everyone in the organization. This is where integrity is at it apex. In many Network Marketing, MLM and Direct Sales companies, sharing of information is commonplace in the “corporate culture”, so much that when people leave those industries and enter the “real world”, they are disheartened by the lack of cooperation and camaraderie.

My hope is that the next time you come across an internet business opportunity, and you wonder if it’s a scam or not…don’t think about it being a scam… Think about who you are and what you want. Think about if the business is right for you. Think about if the business makes sense to you, fits your life style, provides you a feeling of community, bringing you a sense of excitement, a strong comp plan with a continuous residual income stream and a real opportunity to influence others??? If it meets those needs, then you will know what to do.

So, integrity is more about who you are, and what you desire. Integrity is about giving trust, and allowing it to come back to you. Integrity is about the anticipation and the expectation that others will deal with you in a way you would want them to, and how you would deal with them. Integrity isn’t Lost… it’s just not being used by enough people. If you become one who uses it, pass it on…it will make the world a better place.

3) I will stay focused and not get distracted by all the "bright shiny objects" (Just because an ebook, course or software product is great, doesn't mean it is going to help in your specific business. Be discerning!)

In the movie, A Few Good Men, Jack Nickolson’s character screamed the infamous line… “You want the truth?... You can’t handle the truth!” and I feel the same way while writing on this topic, because most people can’t handle the truth.

The Truth being, “Anyone who can send an e-mail, has the ability to be an Internet Entrepreneur!” However, many people start out not believing that statement… because, they can’t handle the truth!.

They may have had predetermined ideas of what an INTERNET ENTREPRENEUR is, does or has to do and they discount themselves without even looking into it, while others, automatically decide they are too old, too busy (or too something) to even think about learning something new. The worst part is, when people think “it’s too good to be true”…just because it’s not the norm.

The old dog new trick theory is set aside when people find out how easy it is to become an Internet Entrepreneur. There are many resources to assist you in building an online business and examples of how much money can be made right from the computer you are reading this on.

So… Joe, what does it take to be an Internet Entrepreneur you ask…? Fair question!

Chapter 1: Have a Burning Desire.
No matter what you decide to do in life, Desire is a core component of success. If you want to do anything, there has to be a “why” behind your plan, otherwise it will run out of steam with the first gust of “the winds of change”…

It’s interesting how friends, family and people who care about you, will tell you how you can’t do something, how what you are doing is insane and how everyone they know has failed at doing what you are attempting to do. What is sad is, if they really cared, they would support you in your passion and desire.

Your desire will be tested at many levels, if you are true to it, it will manifest into the success you wish for. Now, come on Joe, “manifest”, “wish for”…??? This is business, what do words like “that” have to do with business…?

…My answer is, EVERYTHING!

Any truly great accomplishment began with someone having a desire, a wish, an intention or an idea. Once that “concept” is conceived, it can be put on a path to become reality. Your desire is the initial point of the process. Honor it, protect it and get those around you to do the same…in doing so, those around you will see your level of commitment and support you in your quest

Chapter 2: You “Gotta” have Goals.
The great motivational speaker, Zig Ziglar, is famous for the phase… Your “Gotta” have goals! He would repeat it over and over in his seminars and audio series…to the point where you realize… “you gotta have goals!”

He, like many other speakers and trainers will maintain all of the follow points, in various order and levels of importance.

Specifically, clearly, definitively and in writing stating exactly what it is that you want to accomplish, seems to be the common denominators of the process. Is it money, freedom, notoriety, increasing your “social capital” personally or professionally? You need to know exactly what you want to see come out of your decision to become an Internet Entrepreneur.

Once you have a clear vision of your goal(s), things happen (somewhat magically) to bring your goal to fruition. Call it the Law of Attraction, call it focus, energy and attention, call it what you want… there is no denying that a person with a burning desire and goals can accomplish anything!

Goals need to be developed at many different levels. Goals can be as simple as, to get to your work station (home or office) by a specific time, place a specific number of ads, make a specific number of calls, etc. Goals should also be quantitative toward your income…specific number of sales, profits, expense reductions etc. Again, goals need to be in writing at all times and clear as to their outcome.

Many people make the mistake of being vague, general or not specific toward their desired result. If you don’t know what or where the target is, how can you hit it? A goal is a target, don’t be afraid to talk about it, visualize it, and make it known to everyone around you. If you miss it, so what!...but when you hit it… it magical!

Chapter 3: Find a Mentor or a Coach
This is so important, it should be in Chapter 1, but it makes more sense to mention it here. A good mentor is going to assist you in developing your desires and goals. A Mentor or Coach is someone with experience in similar situations and who has some kind of knowledge you may lack or has been educated by the experiences, successes and/or mistakes of others. They have succeeded in business and life and are looking to assist others to success. A mentor is passionate about you, your business and your future, and has you in their thoughts even when you’re not on their “clock”.

In the online world, there are countless people, books, programs, documents and seminars (both on and off line) which all profess their ability to coach you to success. It is important for you to develop a keen eye for what is real and what is “sales speak” (…you know, commentary to get your dollars from your pocket to theirs). One way to do this, is to find a “Coach” with online experience. This way you have a sounding board to assist you in evaluating the multitude of offers you will see coming your way.

That being said, there is no substitute for experience. Sometimes, you need to pay the piper to learn what works for you and what doesn’t. In my experience, when I paid $49 or more for an e-book, program or “system” to only find out it wasn’t all that I had hoped for…every time, in some way, they have always lead me to an idea, concept or ‘thread’ that lead me to more than I expected.

Your mentor also should have ideas, initiatives and directions for you to investigate and follow as it relates to your internet aspirations. They don’t have to have all the answers, but they should be a good sounding board for you. A good mentor will spark your thinking and imagination to get you focused on achieving your goals. Like any coach, they will lead you to an idea, but you need to be the one who does the activity. Tiger Woods, arguably the greatest golfer of all time, has a coach…his coach may not be as good (a golfer) as he is, but Tiger trusts in his observations, insights and thoughts to maintain his leadership of that industry.

I know in my own coaching practice, my clients (in many different industries, of which I have never worked) have seen their businesses transform, their horizons expanded and their futures become brighter from the conversations and pursuant confidence that comes from our ongoing sessions.

Chapter 4: Pay for & Own your Education
Education is expensive, time consuming and cumbersome but invaluable, because once you have it, it’s yours forever. Most people find working on the internet is much easier than they originally thought! There are millions of sites to advertise on, countless resources to answer your questions and programs to make your learning curve much faster.

My own experience was enlightening. Having ZERO experience with internet advertising and online marketing, within 2 weeks, I was profitable and finding more and more ways to increase my income.

In addition, there is a huge untapped market combining the online and off-line worlds. For instance, placing advertising in newspapers and having the reader go to a website vs. calling or stopping in. More and more, the consumer is looking for a way to find out the information in advance of speaking to someone, to make a qualified buying decision. By driving people to a COMPELLING* website, you have the ability to pre-sell the prospect with text info, photos, video, music, links to comparable (higher priced products) and have the buyer show up, ready to BUY!

*Please note: Compelling means a site that creates call to action or a desired result.

So often, websites are just online brochures, with pretty pictures and some lifeless info, designed to inform a prospect. Rarely do they inspire a call, inquiry or motivate the prospect to come to you.
They rarely create a buyer, without human input.

The best and most effect sites are CONVERTING “lookers into BUYERS” without (a lot of) human interaction.

I don’t think that we will ever get away from human interaction completely, however, the more we can communicate through standardized, compelling information, the easier the sales process becomes for the humans involved.

Using Video has become a huge movement for online marketers and Internet Entrepreneurs. To be able to introduce yourself and communicate with sound, facial expressions, body language, product demonstrations and training to create a visual connection with the prospect, is the next horizon for online marketing.

Video marketing was once only reserved for only the huge Fortune 500 company (costing hundred of thousands of dollars), now any business (or individual) can use these online communication tools for as little as $9.95 a month.

Imagine being able to “video email” a client, prospect or family member with your face and message… that is a powerful way to get your point across. This will become the norm in a very short time. If you want more info visit

Developing skills, education and experience as an Internet Entrepreneur doesn’t come without making an investment of time, money and focus. Let’s address those 3 areas now…

Time: If your business requires you to interact with people, demonstrate product or attend meetings, then you need to commit more time to it and you are limited to 9am to 5pm or acceptable business hours (i.e. 7-10 pm).

Thank goodness the internet is open 24/7 and can be accessed when I want to work…the time it takes is up to me. I find that an hour or two a day will get most projects done…depending on the scope of the project. If your business doesn’t require a lot of human interaction (like one of my internet businesses) takes less time (than other businesses) because it can be done anywhere, anytime of the day or night. Keep in mind that the initial start up, can take a little longer.

I enjoy what I do, because we have a totally automated system that brings prospects from “advertisement to enrollment” without ANY involvement or interaction from me… personal contact comes in once the person is committed and engaged in the business. This way I am not spending my days, calling uninterested people, prospecting anything within 3 feet and following up with people who are masters of “caller ID/ screening”. My days of “dialing for dollars” – making 100 calls a day are long over.

I am so grateful I can have the income I have and not have to commute, travel or be some place everyday making someone else rich.

Money: Being an Internet Entrepreneur means you have your own business. As such, it takes capitol to run a business. Some people will take out loans, others will use credit cards and some will use savings. 74% of all small businesses are self funded by the owners with personal savings or credit lines (or credit cards).

Many people look to traditional businesses like franchising or “brick and mortar” retail formats to start a business. Today, even owners of traditional businesses are gravitating over to the internet… Doctors, Lawyers, Executives, Realtors and more are all moving to work online…. The main reasons are; lower cost of entry, no employees, lower overhead, ease of access, no inventory or shipping and fewer headaches in general.

To think that for under $5000 (which can be put on a credit card) anyone who can send an e-mail can start, build and generate a profit from an internet business. Most see profits within a few months…although nothing is guaranteed. Statistics show that companies that provide a proven system have dramatically higher success ratios than those who recommend starting out “networking” with friends and family. In addition, companies that have a “system” have higher duplication rates, lower turn over (attrition) and greater success overall.

Another alluring part of being an Internet Entrepreneur is the aspiration of residual income. This is money that continues to come in, without any additional effort on your part. Virtually every Network Marketing company has a residual income component to it, most internet income programs do as well… what you need to look for is substantial income on both the front end and back end of a compensation plan. Making 3% down line, no matter how many people you have, is a very slow income growth process.

An example of substantial income is making $1000 per sale and $1000 on every sale from your team... that is substantial!!! When you think about it…having only 10 people on your team who make 1 sale a week generates $10,000 a week in RESIDUAL income to you. Is this believable? Well, if the system is automated and anyone can do it, then it is believable…

To make my point…consider this… (assuming the electricity is on) when you walk up to a light switch and flip the switch, the light will go on…no matter who flips the switch, the light comes on… that is what a truly automated system is… I have been working in a system like that, and seeing that it is truly automated and anyone can do it…so it does exist.

When you are looking at any business model, make sure that the system is able to be done by anyone! Essentially this is how I found the income I enjoy and the freedom I was looking for.

Focus:
It has been said by many, “you can’t serve 2 masters”, and in most traditional business, that is correct. A traditional business needs 100% of your focus and energy to succeed.

That being said, the people who made that statement were saying that long before the invention of the internet. The internet has made it possible to literally ‘set it and forget it’. Meaning systems can be put into place that need “monitoring vs. managing”. Monitoring the results of an automated system takes much less time than say, managing employees, physical locations or customers. You could work on your internet business (in the evenings or weekends) while keeping your regular job, without losing focus on either. However, at some point, your focus will change …this usually happens when the part time income exceeds the full time income, allowing you to have time and money freedom!

My philosophy has changed as a result of becoming an Internet Entrepreneur. Now, I “focus on life” and my business should be what pays for it…not visa-versa. For over 25 years, my focus was on business. Recruiting, training, managing, building, convincing and stressing over the next conquest, life was what happened around the business and sometimes got it the way…

Now, my focus is on living it to it’s fullest, enjoying family and friends and connecting with people on a real level (not with the intent of recruiting them into a business opportunity) but to brighten their day, learn something about them and myself at the same time… to completely enjoy my freedom and assist others in doing the same…

Chapter 5: Understanding Risk vs. Reward

My Daughter, who is in her first year of college, said the other day, “I know what an entrepreneur is… it’s someone who takes risks…” which lead us into this discussion.

A risk taker is someone who plays the lottery, visit a casino or eats food from a can without a label on it. An entrepreneur makes qualified decisions in business, has the ability to influence those decisions with their actions, can react to situations that arise and has the knowledge and experiences to have an expectation of a specific outcome.

A risk is an unknown, has variables that are uncontrollable and the outcome is not effected by the person, where an entrepreneur has the ability to adapt, change the plan, revise the strategy and influence the outcome of the endeavor. Sure risk is involved, but entrepreneurs have control of the risk, hence minimizing and managing it.

As an Internet Entrepreneur, I feel I have total control of every aspect of my business, my life and my future. I will never have to answer to corporate down sizing, changes in management or economic adjustments. As long as I stay connected to my Desires, Goals, Coaches and Mentors and give my businesses the Time, Money and Focus they deserve, I will always be profitable and successful.

The Rewards far out weight the risks, for the Internet Entrepreneur. To know that for a minimal investment, low overhead and to have total control of what your do and how you do it, given the proper system that will automate the processes for you, anyone can be in Internet Entrepreneur!

If feel this way about yourself (even if it’s down deep inside you waiting to come out…) then, YOU ARE an Internet Entrepreneur! The way to start is to decide and accept that you are an Internet Entrepreneur, and go for it… As Napoleon Hill said in his book, Think and Grow Rich, “what a man can conceive, he will achieve”. Once you believe it, the rest will simply fall into place.
